Terms and conditions

Effective 15 September 2026 · Rung Pty Ltd (ACN 000 000 000), Australia

These terms govern your use of the Rung AI phone receptionist service (the "Service"). By creating an account or ticking "You agree to Rung's Terms and Conditions" at signup, you accept them on behalf of your business.

1. The Service

Rung answers inbound phone calls to a number we provision for you (or a number you forward to us), converses with callers in an Australian-English voice, records the interaction, and creates bookings, quotes or follow-ups in the tools you connect (ServiceM8, Xero) or records them for your review (capture mode).

2. Accounts and eligibility

  • You must be an Australian business with a valid ABN and be at least 18 years old.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide and for keeping your password secure.
  • One workspace per business; you may invite teammates under your account and are responsible for their use.

3. Trial and subscription

  • Trial: new accounts start on a 14-day trial of the plan you selected. Trial features may change; a trial requires no payment unless you add paid usage.
  • Plans: the packages and prices are those published on runghq.com/pricing at the time of signup — Starter ($99/month + $6 per confirmed booking), Professional ($249/month + $5 per confirmed booking), Enterprise ($549/month, 50 confirmed bookings included). Prices are in AUD and include GST unless stated otherwise.
  • Billing: subscriptions renew monthly via Stripe from the day you first pay. Confirmed bookings (a booking the agent created that you did not cancel within 24 hours) are metered and charged in the next cycle.
  • Overdue accounts: we may suspend the Service after 14 days of non-payment, with email notice.

4. Your phone number

  • Numbers we provision remain our inventory; you may port out a number you brought, or one we provisioned to you after 90 days, on request.
  • You must hold any consents required to forward your existing number to us, and must comply with the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 for outbound campaigns you initiate through the Service.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to: harass or mislead callers; make automated marketing calls without consent; breach the Spam Act 2003, Privacy Act 1988, state surveillance laws or ACMA rules; probe or attack our infrastructure; or resell the Service without a written reseller agreement.

6. AI disclaimer and your review duty

The agent is AI-driven. While we design it to be accurate, it can misunderstand a caller or invent availability. You remain responsible for reviewing bookings, quotes and jobs created on your behalf before you rely on them, and for any trades advice given in your name.

7. Third-party services

Connecting ServiceM8, Xero, Twilio or Stripe subjects those flows to the provider's own terms. We are not responsible for third-party outages, but our failure-state capture and notification duties are described in the Service documentation.

8. Availability and support

We target 24/7 availability but do not warrant uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is announced by email at least 24 hours ahead where practicable. If the LLM or a connected tool fails mid-interaction, the caller hears our approved fallback line and your team is notified — see the failure-states documentation.

9. Data and privacy

Our handling of personal information (including call recordings) is set out in the Privacy policy. Recordings are retained 24 months by default.

10. Intellectual property

We own the Service, software and brand. You own your business data and your customers' data; you grant us a limited licence to process it to provide the Service.

11. Liability

To the extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law guarantees that cannot be excluded), our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or goodwill.

12. Termination

You may cancel anytime from the dashboard (takes effect at the end of the billing period). We may suspend or terminate for breach of these terms, non-payment, or legal risk, with notice where lawful. On termination we export your data on request and delete it per the Privacy policy.

13. Changes to these terms

We will email workspace owners at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date accepts the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the parties submit to the courts of that jurisdiction.
